Blog Entry: The blog forum over at another site that shall-not-be-mentioned-for-fear-of-instant- and-bloody-death doesn't seem too active and my blogger blog has been kind of a dud, so I figured I'd give this one a try. It seems quite active. Anyway, for those of you who don't know me, my name is Brian and I live in Podunk, New Mexico. I graduated from the University of New Mexico in December of '08 and since that time have been working retail. The job is actually not horrible. Yeah, I do have douche bag customers, but everybody seems to like me there and I've made quite a few friends. [br][br][br]I was planning to leave that job in August, but I got bitch slapped by life and diagnosed with cancer in late July. In the grand scheme of things, it could have been a lot worse; my cancer was relatively easy to treat with chemotherapy and the odds of it coming back are pretty small. [br][br][br]Chemotherapy was, of course, not pleasant, but I survived it ok and am now cancer free. I'm hoping to go on to graduate school in January and am hoping that there will be no more little life surprises.
